KOMPACPLUS AT ARCHIDEX 2026: FROM SURFACE TO SYSTEM

Discover highlights from our creative concept space, featuring our signature 6mm KompacPanels as the material that build the whole room.

One surface. One system.
One Kollection. One seamless connection.

The KompacPlus booth at ARCHIDEX 2026, Hall 11, MITEC Kuala Lumpur

ARCHIDEX 2026 has wrapped, and we are still going through the photos. Held from 29 July to 1 August, the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) was home to From Surface to System — our creative showcase of how our signature 6mm KompacPanel can keep up with modern lifestyle needs that require everyday surfaces to do more.

If you made it down, thank you for the conversations, the questions and the small crowd that formed around our drop-test tower every afternoon. If you did not, here is the walkthrough.

We built a room, not a booth

The KompacFlow kitchen island and grain-matched counter details inside the KompacPlus booth

Surrounded by interactive displays made of 6mm KompacPanels, at the centre of our booth sat a live kitchen powered by KompacFlow — a full island and wall unit maximised for storage, complemented by grain-matched surfaces with seamless sink cover extensions for extra workspace when needed.

Behind it, an interactive feature wall serves as a colourful backdrop; showcasing beautiful combinations of our signature surfaces that visitors were welcome to touch, tap and rearrange.

The best compliment we got all week came from a designer who walked in, looked around, and asked where the rest of the flat was.

The counter that charges your phone

Available in black and white, KompacFlow USB adapters make it possible for quick charges at the booth.

KompacFlow was doing the heavy lifting in that kitchen. Through a slim 3mm groove built into KompacPlus worktops, kettles, lamps and phones are able to draw power directly from the island top and kitchen backsplash — no visible sockets or trailing cables to get in the way of everyday use.

Supported by mobile adapters (compatible with UK-plugs or USB), visitors get first-hand experience in seeing how KompacPlus surfaces work. The removal of a fixed power point/sockets means homeowners can plug in kitchen appliances and mobile devices from anywhere along the 3mm groove — ensuring enhanced user accessibility and layout flexibility with a built-in network that moves and adapts with lifestyle needs for decades to come.

Watching people place a phone on a countertop and see it start charging was, honestly, the highlight of our week.

A wall you could rearrange

The colourful pegwall featured textured selections from our 6mm Kollection for visitors to explore

Also an extension of KompacFlow as a wall feature, the colour pegwall features assorted shapes and colours from our 6mm Kollection — allowing visitors to explore surface textures up close while reimagining new possibilities for the KompacFlow 3mm groove as flexible plug pointfor residential & commercial spaces alike.

See It Live: A Test of Limits

Part of our live demo offerings — interactive drop tests directly on KompacPlus surfaces to prove its durability for long-lasting, durable use

Our loudest corner, in every sense.

For four days running, visitors were welcomed to test the durability of KompacPanels at our Impact Test Station where metal balls were dropped through 3 layers of just panels to show how tough our innovative surfaces can be.

It’s a quick way to answer the question we get most often: 6mm sounds thin — will it survive a real kitchen?

The result: Our panels held and stayed scratch-free.

VIP Perks: Name Tags, Totes and a few beanies

The KompacPlus welcome pack with personalised name tag, woven tote and limited-edition stickers

Everyone who pre-registered to visit us at the booth picked up a personalised name tag waiting at the front of the room, packed with a woven tote, a notebook and limited-edition stickers inside.

Meet the Beanies: An extension of our animated sticker launched in 2024, the limited prints serve as a soft launch for our plans to expand the pack. Available on WhatsApp and Instagram: Search for [ kompacplus ] in the Sticker tab to use your favourite Beanie in day-to-day chats.

FAQ
If you take one thing home, make it KompacFlow

Across four days of conversations, the same three questions kept coming back
— so here are the answers in one place.

Where does the power actually come from?

A 3mm groove built into the surface itself. The track sits flush behind/underneath KompacPlus surfaces, allowing user to power up devices from anywhere along the groove with mobile adapters.

Yes, KompacFlow is applicable on both KompacPlus worktops and wall claddings. The same system runs vertically behind a pegwall for shelves, hooks and lighting, and it works just as happily under a study desk, a console or a kitchen island.

The mobile adapters plug in wherever you need them along the 3mm groove, so appliances and devices move with the room. Pair that with the sleek aesthetics of 6mm KompacPanelsyou’ll have a surface that works as hard as the room around it.

Samples & live demos are available upon request.

If something in that room got you thinking about your own kitchen, island or feature wall, come and talk it through with us. Our material specialists will be happy to provide you with the best recommendations to match your lifestyle needs in every way.
