As the brand to introduce the first innovative smart material for interior use in 2013, FENIX is committed to its journey in building sustainable spaces and is actively involved in reducing environmental footprints throughout the life cycle of its products.
From production to disposal, carbon emissions is closely monitored to prevent excess harm to the environment. Based on total square meters sold per month, FENIX is committed to reduce CO2 emissions via equal contribution towards carbon offsetting projects.

From Legends to Living Surfaces, Breathing Long-Lasting Life into Everyday Spaces
Taking inspiration from the Greek mythological bird – the Phoenix – as a being that can infinitely regenerate itself to live forever, the soft surfaces of FENIX are designed for long-lasting use as a smart material that can self-restore superficial micro-scratches under gentle heat.

Built-in Nanotechnology Allows Self-Restoration of Superficial Micro-scratches Through Thermal Healing
Made in Italy, FENIX combines next-gen acrylic resins and a multi-layer coating that is subsequently cured with electron beam technology to create a naturally tough solid structure that is surprisingly soft to touch and anti-fingerprint due to its natural low light reflectivity.
Under the microscope, the uneven surfaces of FENIX are built to diffuse light upon contact, allowing its super-matte surfaces to stay subtly smart throughout the day.
In case of micro-scratches resulting from everyday use, FENIX is built with the ability to self-restore these superficial damages under gentle heat.
As shown in the video below, heat from a warm iron placed directly over the damaged areas will activate the built-in technology within the surfaces to initiate the thermal healing process that can gradually return the super-matte surfaces of FENIX to its original flawless condition to serve sustainable, long-lasting use.

Easy Maintenance to Allow Long-Lasting Use
To maintain its seamless aesthetics for everyday use, FENIX surfaces should be cleaned regularly with warm water as shown in the video below.
As a rule of thumb, any liquid or water residues should also be removed and dried properly to avoid lime scale residues on the FENIX surface. In case of tough dirt or stain, mild household cleaners and specialised cleaning agents (eg. kitchen degreasers, acetone) can be used in controlled amounts to avoid irreparable damage on the material surface.
